Editing 2D Component Instance Properties

This task explains how to access and, if needed, edit information on instantiated 2D component properties.
Open the Position_Component03.CATDrawing document.

  1. Right-click the 2D component instance to access the contextual menu.

  2. Select Properties and click the 2D Component Instance tab. You can modify the 2D component instance position and orientation:
You can also select the instance, go to Edit> Properties and click the 2D Component Instance tab.
 

   
  • Location:
    It allows you to access the instance location and the origin of the 2D component it was instantiated from. 
  • Position and orientation:
    you can modify detail instantiated 2D component coordinates, angle with horizontal reference axis and scale.
 

  1. Click OK to validate and exit the dialog box.
