Using the Electrical Part
Design Workbench

This task explains how to set up the environment to work with CATIA - Electrical Library.
CATIA - Electrical Library includes two workbenches:
  • The Electrical Assembly Design workbench to work at the level of an assembly of electrical objects.
  • The Electrical Part Design workbench to add electrical behavior at the level of a part.
You will start by working in the Electrical Part Design workbench to add electrical behavior to a standard part to make it an electrical connector.
Open the PrtStd.CATPart document.

  1. Select Electrical Part Design from the Start >  Equipment & Systems > Electrical Harness Discipline menu.

The Electrical Part Design workbench is displayed with the part.
